GirlVentures 2024 Gala will celebrate the empowerment of expansive youth in our community!  We have a very mission appropriate silent auction (think campouts, kayaking, sailing, picnics, and even a YETI), fantastic music, delicious cuisine, and a few surprises, as we celebrate the trailblazers that get us to our place of leadership in our communities!


GirlVentures inspires girls to lead through outdoor adventure, inner discovery, and collective action.

The only nonprofit of its kind, GirlVentures combines outdoor adventure with social emotional learning for adolescent girls, at a critical time in their lives.  Starting at age 11, our youth follow the GirlVentures’ Leadership Progression Model, building confidence, leadership and life skills as they backpack, hike, kayak and rock climb in the Northern California wilderness. They learn from experiential educators and mentors while gaining knowledge and tools that empower them to reach their full potential.
 

Many years ago, I led 11-13 year old girls on climbing and backpacking trips into the Colorado wilderness with a sister organization of GirlVentures. Those trips had a profound impact on me and I carry the lessons I learned from those girls with me today...you might have heard some of the stories.

Today, I am excited to share that I have joined the board of  GirlVentures. This role blends my passions for the outdoors, inclusion, and leadership in a very cool way and I'm excited about the mission.

Our Gala is in September for my San Francisco Bay Area connections and it would be awesome to have you there, but if you can't be there you can donate. These donations subsidize tickets for those who otherwise couldn't attend. How cool is that?
