Dear Friends and Family,

I am deeply grateful that my parents sent me to an all girls summer camp in Colorado for many years starting at age 10. Not only did I learn outdoor wilderness skills, but I made the best of friends, built confidence, grew emotionally and physically, and developed my leadership skills that I still draw on today. It was by far the most impactful experience on who I am today, how I show up in my community, how I raise my children, the profession I have chosen, and my personal interests. I recognize this experience is an immense privilege and by serving on the GirlVentures Board of Directors and fundraising for their amazing programs, I hope to be able to give other youth the chance for similarly life-change experiences.
